Wireless Machine Start & Control
Crane-proven remote control, for every machine.

Overview
The problem. On machines such as concrete pumps, sandblasting booths, horizontal lifts and mobile pumps, the operator needs to be away from the machine, wherever the work can be seen: at the boom tip, outside the booth, on the platform. Wired controls (coiled cables, pendant stations) break, snag, restrict movement and cause accidents. Off-the-shelf imported industrial remotes are expensive, closed to channel and logic customization, and serviced abroad. Cheap 433 MHz remotes, on the other hand, lack industrial safety features (emergency stop, defined link-loss behavior, interference protection).
The solution. The transmitter (membrane/buttons/joystick) and receiver (relays + analog outputs) hardware of the Wireless Crane Control System platform is configured for each machine: a 24-channel concrete pump remote, an 8-channel + emergency stop general-purpose remote, a single receiver with 10 transmitters, proportional drive with a joystick, single-channel pump start/stop. The receiver relays drive contactors or PLC inputs; if communication is lost, the relays drop out (safe state), and the emergency stop is handled with priority through a separate relay. Multiple machines on the same site are separated by channel and ID.
New series. The roadmap standardizes the receiver on DIN rail with the Elmes Module Series and EC carrier boards (EC-DIO8/16), moves the transmitter to a new platform, and adds encryption and OTA updates.

Applications
- Concrete pumps and construction machinery
- Horizontal lifts and transport platforms
- Sandblasting and paint booths
- Pump and compressor stations
- Conveyor and hatch control
- Foundry, steel and glass plants
- OEM machine builders
The receiver's relay contacts connect to contactor coils or PLC inputs; the system can run in parallel with an existing wired control (a selector switch is recommended). For crane applications, see the Wireless Crane Control System page.
Machine builders can offer the remote as a standard option together with the Elmes OEM Device Control Platform. Where only a few dry contacts (start/stop, fault, ready) need to be carried, the Wireless Digital I/O Link is a simpler solution.

Frequently asked questions
How is it different from the crane remote?
The hardware is the same as the Wireless Crane Control System; channel layout, relay logic (latching/pulse, interlocks) and housing labels are adapted to the machine. This page covers non-crane machine applications.
What happens if the transmitter is dropped or the battery runs out?
The packets stop; the receiver times out and drops all relays (safe state). The emergency stop latches through a separate relay.
How many machines can run on the same site without interfering?
Each machine runs on its own channel and ID. The new series targets at least 8 independent networks through channel × network-ID combinations.
How does it connect to an existing control panel?
The relay contacts connect to contactor coils or PLC inputs; the system can run in parallel with the existing wired control (a selector switch is recommended).
Is proportional (joystick) control available?
Yes: a joystick/potentiometer transmitter is paired with a receiver that has analog outputs (6 analog outputs on the RT207 receiver). In the new series, analog outputs come from the EC-AIO board in the EC carrier board range.
How can the range be extended?
Move the receiver antenna outside the panel and up high (Industrial RF Antenna Series) and keep the transmitter away from metal bodies. The new series targets longer range with LoRa.
Can there be several operators or transmitters?
Yes: 10 transmitters → 1 receiver (call/start) or a spare transmitter. Where simultaneous control is needed, priority and lock logic are adapted to the application.
Is there a safety certification (PL/SIL)?
Not yet; the target level will be set together with the new crane control series. Emergency stop and link-loss behavior are part of the current design.
What about warranty and service?
2-year warranty; service in Ankara.
